Tyler studied Bachelors in Acupuncture (1994) and Chinese Herbal (1996) at Victoria University.
In 2009 Tyler began studies with Arnaud Versluys at the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine (ICEAM). Tyler has also been training with David White at the Institute of Neijing Research (INR) since 2015.
Tyler is in private practice in Melbourne, his emphasis is on complex conditions. He teaches domestically and internationally as an ICEAM instructor and a guest lecturer for INR.
